Missing the baby bump
Its nothing new. In fact, I'd say its a normal part of Motherhood- at least in mine. I wouldn't really say that I have "baby fever" but I miss having a belly and loving on a brandnew baby. I've been missing it more and more the closer Rian's getting to 2. TWO. How has it almost been two years since I've been pregnant? Since she was just a teeny, tiny, red-faced, crazy-haired newborn. Like the blink of an eye.
My first reaction to Rian's pregnancy wasn't exactly happiness. Steven and his friend were in the garage, when the test said 'Pregnant'- I just opened the garage door, nodded at him that it was a positive and shut the door. He came back in and found me in the bathroom and said, "You're pregnant?!" I told him I felt weird, I didn't know what to think and he said he felt the exact same way. I cried when I told my Mom. I changed my mood on myspace to "shocked" and a couple of smarty pants figured it out, but I lied and said I wasn't. I didn't even really tell people, I just posted it as my myspace headline for people to find out on their own, it said "#2 is due 12.15.09"
A couple of days before my first appointment, a few weird things happened and they almost sent me to the emergency room but were able to squeeze me in with the OB. Of course, during those few hours waiting for the appointment, I couldn't stop thinking that I made this happen- my initial "regret" was making me lose the baby. But then we saw her perfect little heart beating and all those feelings went away. I knew I could do it, I could be a Mom to two little brats.
That was the only incidident- it was smooth sailing after that. I loved being pregnant. I wish I would've written more down, kept track of things better. All I really have are a few pictures and memories. I never had morning sickness. I never cared about gaining weight- my eyeballs got huge every time I saw how much I gained at each appointment, but it never bothered me. I was even excited the first time I saw a stretch mark- ha! I had such easy, amazing pregnancies. I loved how quickly I got a belly and how huge it got. [I may not love the end result that huge belly left me with, but I'm learning to!]
I loved it so much that sometimes I wonder if I could ever be a surrogate for another woman, isn't that nuts?! It seems like such a selfless, amazing thing to do for somebody else. I'm sure it'd be hard knowing the little person inside of you wasn't going to stay with you, but the feeling of seeing somebody with their new baby would probably quickly erase all those feelings. Its something I'd never search out to do, but if I was ever approaced with the idea- I'd seriously take it into consideration.
Me missing my bump is starting to give me crazy thoughts... I better not let my mind wonder anymore, geez!

A perfect Tuesday
It was SO nice today. It felt better outside than in because it was breezy. We spent the morning in the backyard then went back out after naps- pretty much spent our whole day outside, like it should be. It got windy and I've had the windows and doors open so it's going to be dusty in here but who cares! This weather is my favorite. There's a chance of rain in a bit- we'll see. I'm like an old lady, I keep the weather channel open on my desktop and look at it all throughout the day.
Obvoiusly an orange and broccoli- he's been making me name everything on his plate now. The other day he asked what everything was and when I said "green beans and grapes" he said nooo. So I said "Worms and snake eggs" and he smiled and ate them right up. He's fun.
Yay for Tuesday night tv- New Girl and Parenthood! [Plus Biggest Loser but that'll wait for me on the dvr.]
The only way he goes down the slide lately.
We moved the fort to try to grow grass where it usually sits, nothing but dirt.
Pretending to water the flowers.
My last daisy died yesterday. :( Hopefully I get a new bloom soon.
Yelling, "I did it!"
Chasing Momma. :)
Halloween meal for dinner [Aiden calls them pumpkin lunch]
Mummy pizza, a pumpkin and trees

Jammies!
If anyone hasn't noticed, pajamas are one of my favorite things for the kids. Even for myself, actually! I always tell Steven if he's ever at a loss for buying me a gift, go with pajamas. Yay for Tuesday night tv- New Girl and Parenthood! [Plus Biggest Loser but that'll wait for me on the dvr.]

Growing old with you...
I just pinned the cutest picture on Pinterest:
I love seeing older couples at stores, holding hands- it makes my heart so happy. Maybe it's their second marriage, maybe they haven't been together for most of their lives- but I always like to imagine they've been together forever. Soul mates.
Last month Steven's parents celebrated their 40th anniversary and next month, my parents will celebrate their 30th. Impressive. Not to say either of those marriages have been perfect but they have set the perfect example. They've all been through tough times, hell- my parents even divorced each other. But they learned that true love prevails. I can't wait til that's us celebrating those LONG years of marriage.
We argue. We disagree. We do things to purposely piss each other off, but at the end of the day- we go to sleep next to each other and know we're in this for a lifetime. I never have, nor will I ever, say our relationship is "perfect"- that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard and I laugh inside anytime I hear somebody say it about their own. But I know for a fact that I'm married to the man that was made for me. I will say this, we're a pretty incredible team. :)
I used to hate thinking about getting older. But as I get older, my life just keeps getting better and better. It doesn't freak me out as much anymore...
LOVE.

especially with him by my side.
Monday Funday!
I love Mondays! Especially when we don't have anything planned. Usually that's when I schedule doctor appointments, etc. because Steven's off. Sometimes we run errands and grocery shop but I really like when we get it out of the way on Sundays. So today we had absolutely nothing to do!
I woke up and looked at the clock, it was already 8:30! I rolled over and Steven was gone. Then I saw that the door was shut. I always feel bad when he lets me sleep in because he gets up so, soo early 5 out of 7 days of the week. How sweet of him! Once the morning got going, he did a little work on his Jeep and I sanitized toys. I'm so bad at doing that. I usually bleach them but this time I put them in a mesh bag and put them in the dishwasher [saw it in some magazine]. A great time saver.
It was pretty humid in the morning but we got about a three minute sprinkle in the afternoon and it went away. I don't think it even reached the triple-digits today. Its supposed to be in the 80s this week. Exciting! We went outside around 4:30, the earlist we've been out in awhile.

My twine bracelet didn't work out too well- once it got wet, it tightened up. So I made a twine headband!
Since mine and Aiden's picture in the grass came out so cute, I wanted to try to do a family one so we had a mini photoshoot, none of the pictures came out very well.
Steven's arms weren't long enough and mine and Rian's eyes kept watering, I could barely keep them open! I still like it. :)
[Aiden's pointing at and talking about an airplane flying by.]
We had a picnic dinner outside.
[Grilled burgers, ranch/bacon pasta salad and grapes]
I tried getting all of us but it was only me- oopsie!
[And our awesome patio chairs. They used to be my grandma's, love them.]
I look fat.

My boys<3
It was so nice outside! To top things off- while we were out, Steven came in and did the few dishes we had. Then he gave the kids a bath, I guess today was my day off. :) Tonight Rian wore her Halloween jammies from last year. She was only 9 months old and was wearing size 18 months. She was such a chunk!
Fishtail
I practiced one time a few months ago after watching a tutorial to get the idea but today was the first time I really tried. My hair has layers so its sticking out all over but that's okay with me, I love imperfections.
I can't wait til my hair gets longer!

Punky
Another fun idea from Pinterest!
[Just the top photo]
I can't believe Rian let me put a tutu on her... not only that but she sat perfectly still while I took pictures. This was her birthday tutu last year so its all smashed and not great looking anymore but I still think they came out so perfect.
[I wish she was wearing her hot pink & black bow but it was in my purse and I was trying to be quick before she was over it. Oh well.]
