Day 123 (Eddie Bauer high chair redo)

I've been wanting a Jenny Lind high chair but they're so hard to find! I have plenty of time, but no energy to search for one. Last year when I was looking for an armoire, I was on Craigslist every day, multiple times a day, til I found one. Ugh no desire to do that again!

I really wanted a wood high chair though. My mom got us the one we have, it was the only one they had a Target. I was never a fan of it but hey, it's a high chair! So it served its purpose. My mom doesn't have one at her house anymore (she got rid of all her baby stuff, I was convinced there wouldn't be another baby!) so I'm going to give her ours. If she didn't need one, I probably wouldn't have bought one. But it was $30 off and shipping was free! So I got it for less than $100. Not bad. And it's way smaller than our other one, love that.

Before and after
(It still needs to be touched up and a few coats of sealer)

Steven thought I was pretty crazy for wanting to spray paint something brand new, in perfect condition. But that was the whole point of getting it! It also came with a seat cushion, but I wasn't planning on using it. Maybe I'll get a little cushion for the baby's butt down the line.

I didn't love this one at first, I thought it was okay. But once it got here and I put it together, even before it was painted, I started to really like it. Now I love it! It won't be used for almost a year, but in the meantime, it's a pretty little accessory in the kitchen. And we all know my dining area can use all the help it can get in looks right now!

Day 122

My last day (this week) babysitting! It was a tough one.

I've been wanting to take the big curtains down in my kitchen and put up half curtains in the windows. I pinned some this morning and when the baby left, we went to get two tension rods and curtain rings. I wanted some burlap/feed sack style, but had a  lace curtain that I used instead.

I need to take a picture at night so it can be seen better.

I love how it looks! I don't feel like looking for a picture of how the curtains were before. They were up on a rod on the green wall above the window, tied at the sides. You know, just like regular curtains. I liked it, but since they weren't on the window, it always looked a little weird to me.

The curtains up this way go so much better with my kitchen style and let so much more light in!

Day 121 (22 weeks pregnant)

How is it May already?! The year's already almost half way over.

I was about to get ready for bed and realized I hadn't taken a picture today, so its not that greatest. I just wanted to go to sleep!

Twenty two weeks

Pregnancy this week:
- Since Monday, I've been craving a Coca-Cola icee. I saw a commercial for a Burger King one and can't get it out of my head! Augh.
- When I get up from the couch or bed and my body's bent, I feel a sharp little jab in my side: the baby! Even though it's my third time being pregnant, it's still just as amazing as the first time feeling that little human move around! My constant sidekick. :)
- My belly has also started moving with some of the movements.
- With AJ and Ri, I stopped shedding. Then about 3-5 months postpartum, I started losing hair like crazy. In clumps. This time my hair sheds normally, I like it this way better.

This morning I registered this little dude for Kindergarten. How's that possible?!

We've decided to keep him at his home school and not move him if we end up getting a call. Having three kids, they'd all have to be able to transfer over to the other school and that seems kind of hard to depend on. Plus, I've heard from people I used to work with that the school is better than it used to be. And we also know somebody who has her girls where I wanted him to go and she's taking them out next year- yikes! She said they hate it there. Talking to other people definitely helped us make our decision. I think next year I'm going to look more into some of the local charter schools. I called one but Kinder is the hardest year to get in it for. So we'll see.

Just can't get over the fact that we're about to have a kid in school full-time. Crazy.

Day 120

Last night the kids got wet with the hose for the first time this season and of course, they wanted to play in water again this evening. It wasn't as hot today though, thankfully!

The sprinkler was on, but they ended up playing with a hole in the hose the entire time.

Getting a drink.

I grilled (I can finally light it! We need a new one soon.) We had dinner outside and the kids had popsicles. Such a nice evening, not looking forward to Summer.

Day 119

Back to babysitting today...and dealing with a really grumpy baby. Ugh. Somehow I got through the day, even with a raging headache.

Sitting with me is a daily fight. Tonight Rian got up and AJ stole her spot. She said, "Hey I wanna sit with a piece of Mommy too!" haha. She's been calling me her "little mommy" lately.

Cuddles with (almost) three babies.

Aiden made our family with his lunch. Steven was the hard boiled egg yolk. :)
Love that he included the baby!

Day 118

I was excited to get to church to see my babies this morning! They were going with Grandpa and Grandma since they spent the night. My parents, Steven's parents and his grandparents all go to the same church. So picking one was super easy for me!

I was woken up by this baby going crazy!

Almost every Sunday after church, the kids go home with my parents since we eat over every Sunday. I figured they'd want to come home with me since they'd been at Steven's parents' house, but nope! I let them go because I didn't feel like dealing with fits and grumpy kids all day because of it. I felt a little bad for Steven though since he hadn't seen them at all the day before. Poor guy. Regular working man's schedule soon! :)

Close to two days with no kids. It felt a lot like being pregnant with Aiden back in the day. Just me, Steven and a baby bump. I've been thinking so much about that time period lately. I think it's because AJ's approaching age 5. These last five years have flown by. And I know the next five will too. :\

Day 117

Last night Steven told me his Dad mentioned something about the kids spending the night over there tonight. It ended up working out perfectly because I also got a message on facebook from an old friend that his band would be in town for a show! One of Steven's old friends is also in the band.

The kids were picked up around 4ish. I always have a "Now what?" feeling not long after they leave, at least til Steven gets home! We were off for a little date night and to catch the show.

Brad and I met in 8th grade, he moved after that school year and I moved after the following one, but we've kept in touch all these years. His grandparents still live here, so we see each other almost every time he's here for a visit.

It was so fun to catch up with them and laugh for a few hours, then see them jamming out on stage. Seeing people in your life doing what they love and having so much fun doing it is awesome! I'm so happy for them.
