A year later!

Since Novemer started, I've been thinking nonstop about finishing up the last ugly yellow wall. Next month will be a year since I started painting. Last night I could hardly sleep thinking about how I couldn't wait to get it done today. And I did, its finally gone! I was going to wait til the kids were gone today but I'm way too impatient so we went and got everything this morning. It looks so much better and its so much darker in here now, which I like.

There was this old stool in the backyard, I've always liked how it looks. Its not exactly stable and could possibly give you splinters, so I decided to bring it in as decor since it doesn't really get used. I thought about adding a vase to it but since I have so many of them, changed my mind to a pitcher.

[the flash makes it all look extra bright- everything's darker than this] I spray painted the pitcher gold and found some sticks in the yard and painted them white. I love the outcome. Most would probably think its ugly but I think its so fun and different. It looks a lot better in person.

I was nervous about the way the gold would turn out because the cap color is so gaudy and ridiculous but it came out exactly how I wanted.

And since I liked it so much and have soo many clear mason jars around the house, I painted one of them too. Love!

- If I have one tip about painting, its to never do it while you're pregnant. I don't know what I was thinking with that yellow! Pregnancy brain at its fullest.
