Big girl bed!

Sometime last week Steven got up for work and I got up to pee. He came in the bathroom and was like "Omg, Rian is soo big!" She looks like a giant in her toddler bed. So we started talking about getting her a big girl bed. Then Saturday, my Mom texted me that the pastor of their church's house burnt down. :( They lost everything and their dog. I can't even imagine. They have a one year old and a 5 month old, both boys, so she asked me to go through Aiden's old stuff. I also told her, if they needed it, they could have Rian's crib.

My old bed used to be here, set up in the room that is now Rian's. We had nowhere to keep it, so its been at Steven's parents' house. His Dad brought it over yesterday. Her room looks extra, extra small now!

She looks so little on it!

Typically, Rian falls asleep on the floor then when I go to check on her, she'd in her bed. I thought for sure she'd want to sleep in her bed. Nope! She still wanted to sleep on the floor. Butthead.

:)

I got her some cute sheets for $10. They have a lot of pretty quilts at Target but their $80! No thanks. Aiden's quilt was expensive to buy the materials for, but at least that's one of a kind!

The kids are finally at ages, they can [and like!] to help with stuff. I have a table cloth and place settings on the table, so every night now, they take it all off and set the table for dinner. :) So cute. They love getting stuff out of the fridge for us, if they can reach it. They help put clothes in the washer and dryer and when I fold their clothes, they love getting their socks and underwear and putting it away. They like to help cook too, their favorite thing to do is spread the peanut butter and jelly onto the bread. When I vaccuum, one of them always goes and gets the play vaccuum. I want to get them a little broom too. Get them doing stuff for me before they get older and hate it!

Rian's favorite thing is helping me empty the dishwasher.
She gets all of their plates [I keep them in one of the lower cabients, so they can get them out at meals], all of the plastic cups, lids and straws.

They're growng up so fast. :\ So bittersweet. There is absolutely nothing "baby" about Rian anymore. We were talking about it last night. I've been saying for awhile that I have two big kids, instead of two babies, but now I officially do. So strange! But so fun. Life with them is crazy and hectic, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Always something!

Nothing has come easy with the house so far- its almost funny, but not really!

Monday evening, I started a load of laundry then gave the kids a bath. About 10-15 minutes later, I walked back into the bathroom and it smelled sooo bad. There was a puddle of water between the tile and new flooring (Steven hasn't put the pieces that go under the doorways yet.) And there was nastiness in the tub- same with Steven's shower. Steven had to take out about 8 rows of the flooring because the water got underneath it- blah. So there was a plumber here from 8-10:45pm. $383- yay. He unclogged the pipe but further into the yard, there's one that Steven's going to dig down and fix. We buy the house and it starts acting up- of course!

Lowes stopped selling the handles I picked out for the kitchen cabinets and I still needed to get 4 more, so I had to pay double to get them shipped here- annoying!

I'm back to not wanting another baby haha. I've always wanted a big family, but the more I think about it, the more convinced I am that two kids is perfect for us. We, in NO way, have a bunch of money. But we're comfortable- if I want to go shopping, I can. If Steven needs something for his Jeep or truck, he can buy it. I don't want us to barely make it by and having another kid would definitely do that to us. I want us to be able to go on vacations and do lots of stuff. I don't want the kids I already have to suffer and not experience life because they're stuck at home, all because I wanted another baby. If we (well, Steven) made more money, I'd probably already be pregnant haha! I need to get back to school anyway.

I started doing stuff for Aiden's birthday last weekend, can't believe my baby's going to be FOUR. I'm doing a Fireman theme- fun! Only one more year at home with Momma. We're planning to start him in part time preschool around December/January.

The kids have me exhausted lately. It's too hot to do anything ouside and they're all cooped up. Never a dull moment. They fight about eeeeeverything. So mean to each other but also love each other so much. Bffs to enemies in seconds!
